10 Methods for Crystal Cleansing and Recharging

1.Crystal Gravel Cleansing

Lay the crystal gravel flat in a container and place the bracelet inside. You can remove your bracelet before bed and leave it on the crystal gravel for at least 3 hours. It’s generally recommended to cleanse your crystals once every 1-2 months.

Tip: The gravel can be reused, and the cleansing bowl can also be used to store bracelets, serving multiple purposes.

Applicable for: All types of crystals.

2.Mineral Water Cleansing

Take a new bottle of mineral water, and clean a glass or ceramic bowl. Place the crystal in the bowl, pour in the mineral water, and let it soak for 24 hours. Afterward, remove the crystal and let it air dry.

Tip: For bracelets with accessories, if they have zirconia or silver components, soaking in water may cause oxidation, so be cautious. This method is suitable for pure crystal bracelets with no metal components.

Crystals that should not be soaked in water: Malachite, Chrysoprase, Turquoise, Lepidolite, Fluorite, Angelite, Obsidian, Selenite, Pyrite, Orange Calcite, Azurite, Chalcopyrite, Hematite, Labradorite, Blue Phosphorite, etc. Soaking these crystals in water can cause various changes such as splitting, dissolving, fading, discoloration, erosion, and breaking.

3.Sunlight Cleansing

Place the crystal in a spot where it can be directly exposed to sunlight, for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Tip: Colored crystals should not be exposed to direct sunlight, such as Citrine, Amethyst, Ametrine, Blue Quartz, etc. Only Clear Quartz can be exposed to sunlight, but not for extended periods. Prolonged sun exposure can cause colored crystals to fade due to the high temperatures, weakening their original energy. Therefore, it’s also not recommended to wear colored crystals while taking hot showers.

4.Moonlight Cleansing

Place the crystal on a windowsill or balcony to absorb the moonlight overnight. On clear, starry nights, you can place it outside on the balcony, allowing it to absorb the essence of the moon and starlight for an effective cleansing.

This method is suitable for all types of crystals.

5.Burial Cleansing

The earth is the mother of all life, nurturing and containing the primal energy of crystal formations. This method is compelling. If other methods are ineffective in cleansing the crystal, burying it in the soil for 7 to 30 days will help restore its energy.

Note: Pay attention to the soil environment. After removing the crystal, clean it thoroughly, but avoid using hot or boiling water. After removing it, clean the crystal carefully, but avoid using hot or boiling water.

6.Herbal Incense Burning Cleansing

In many ancient legends, the smoke from burning plants is believed to purify crystals with positive energy. You can burn sandalwood, agarwood, mugwort, sage, or natural essential oils, placing the crystal nearby for about two hours. Alternatively, you can hold the crystal above the smoke, moving it in a clockwise circle for one minute.

Note: This method is suitable for most crystals. However, it is not recommended for light-colored triclinic and monoclinic crystals, such as jade, jadeite, serpentine, malachite, etc., as the gaps between the crystals are larger, and prolonged smudging can cause discoloration.

7.Crystal Cluster and Geode Cleansing

The energy of crystal clusters and geodes naturally forms a cycle, so placing a crystal within them will also allow it to receive this energy flow. Geodes are essentially small caves, where the crystal points direct inward, concentrating the energy, creating a self-sustained energy field that is stable and effective. Placing crystals inside natural crystal clusters or geodes, similar to the burial method, allows them to return to their “mother” and rest, recharge, and cleanse. Clear Quartz geodes and Amethyst geodes are especially recommended. This method is suitable for all types of crystals.

8.Sound Cleansing

The advantage of using a tuning fork is that it is quick and unaffected by the environment. It can be struck three times or more to cleanse the crystal. This method is suitable for most crystals.

Striking a singing bowl produces a frequency, and crystals themselves have frequencies as well. When the frequencies resonate, it helps to clear out low-frequency energies. It is recommended to strike the bowl at least three times.

Play positive, soothing instrumental music for about an hour. This method is suitable for all types of crystals.

9.Sea Salt Cleansing

Place the sea salt in a container, and the natural ocean essence emitted by the unrefined salt will effectively cleanse the crystal. Let it sit for at least 12 hours, then remove it, rinse it clean, and let it dry before wearing. Sea salt helps to purify the crystal and harmonize negative energies, restoring its original energy frequency and vibrations.

Note: Do not place Lapis Lazuli, Hematite, or Soda Stone in the sea salt, as these crystals should not come into contact with it. Also, avoid placing any metal in the container.

10.Stream Water Cleansing

Place the crystal in flowing water, such as a stream or river. Let the water wash over the crystal for a while to help remove negative energies. Be mindful that the water flow should not be too strong, as it may damage the crystal.
